San Jose: International Workers Day (May Day) 2017

DCIM100GOPROGOPR8113.

On International Workers Day (May Day), PAWIS joined with the International Migrants Alliance contingent to continue the legacy of fighting for workers’ rights and building grassroots power. Communities in San Jose and throughout the country have resisted the Muslim ban, sanctuary campaigns, cutbacks to workers’ rights, etc. As the power of the people continues to grow, we will continue to resist oppressive policies and government actions in the US, while organizing to change the root causes in the Philippines (poverty, landlessness, joblessness, corruption) that force our people to work abroad just to feed their families.
